Alberto is a gifted and seasoned psychotherapist with 30 years of experience working with a variety of populations including Teens, Men, Women, Older Adults, Families, and Couples. He addresses a wide variety of clinical challenges which include, self-discovery journeys, and a plethora of common life challenges. Alberto's passion is his work and his work is his passion. He is Bilingual (English/Spanish) and is skilled in working with others in a deep, authentic manner creating an optimal environment needed to create insight and change in clients’ lives. Alberto is direct and, once goals are agreed upon and aligned between himself and his client, he enthusiastically moves towards progress at a progressive pace. Many of his clients often report that they are able to deeply understand themselves and their reported challenges and symptoms in just a few short sessions. Alberto cares deeply about the clients he works with and his passion is evident from your first meeting with him. Alberto has worked in a variety of clinical settings including:
* A variety of Clinical experiences in inpatient and outpatient hospital programs, alcohol & drug treatment centers, managed care programs, and has served as clinical coordinator as well as administrative roles.
* He has developed training programs for Psychology and Social Work in collaboration with Accredited Universities in Chicago and California. Alberto has provided clinical supervision for many clinicians practicing within the Chicagoland area teaching them both the science and artistry of helping people discover themselves at deeper levels and educating clients about their identified symptoms.
* Alberto is a published author who has written “Boys Don’t Cry: Men Do” (click book title to view) which has been translated into Spanish.
*Alberto has worked extensively with the ManKind Project throughout the Chicagoland area and other states and has staffed many of their trainings. The purpose of these groups is to help men become more authentic, find their passion, to be accountable, to find their personal power, to acquire a deeper connection to their true purpose in life and rediscover a solid walk as a man while reconnecting with their intended character. The Mankind Project (founded in 1984) has had an impact on substantial numbers of men across the globe within 22 nations to date. In today’s busy, overstimulated world, Alberto has worked to guide men on their path of being reconnected to themselves and to others.

Alberto’s effective, direct and caring approach has helped thousands of clients presenting with a variety of concerns to resolve their issues and establish/restore a deep and lasting feeling of well-being. During his personal time, Alberto enjoys long distance cycling, cooking, writing, nature, traveling, and quiet reflection. He earned both his Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree in Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago. He received additional training as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor at Grant Hospital’s Chemical Dependency Program in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area.
