“People tend to become what

they think about themselves”

William James

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Did you grow up in a family where there was much love and nurturing?

  2. Are you always honest with your feelings when dealing with other people?

  3. Are you making an attempt to resolve issues in your life?

  4. Do you ever volunteer to help people more needy than yourself?

  5. How is your eye contact when interacting with others?

  6. When someone does something that makes you angry do you tell them how you feel rather than keeping your feelings to yourself?

  7. Do you speak your mind when an issue comes up about which you have strong feelings?

  8. Are you compassionate of other people’s plights in life?

  9. Are you a risk taker and one who does not fear failure?

Now add up your score. 120-140 points most likely have high self-esteem 90-119 points moderate self-esteem – could use some work below 90 need to look at how you are interacting with other people and begin focusing on building your self image.
