Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do.” Brene Brown. Understanding and navigating the chapters of life can be challenging, and overwhelming on our own, I am here to join you on the walk. I have an Associate License in Marriage and Family therapy. I am a very energetic, outgoing, and radiate positivity and encouragement to help you navigate through your story. I implement honesty, empathy, non-judgement, direct communication, and collaborating with my clients to help begin to facilitate and navigate change. I believe that being gentle, but assertive, helps the client receive the most out of their treatment. Providing a safe space to allow clients to be themselves is my number one goal within therapy. I strive to foster and build healthy rapport with my clients, to help them feel the openness and warmth within sessions. I have experience in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families within a private practice, inpatient behavioral health, outpatient behavioral health and within a non for profit agency settings. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, grief, trauma, life changes, infidelity, and relational distress. I believe I have several tools to help you grow to be the person you are striving to become. My roots are deep within the family systems approach, while I also implement narrative therapy, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches to therapy. Being able to understand where you are, and where your partner is within their personal stories, helps to develop and maintain emotional awareness and understanding within the relationship. The world we live in today, validation and affection can be right at our finger tips, leading to distress within a relationship. I encourage couples, families and individuals to begin to understand their personal love languages, their stories, and the triggers impacting their ability to grow within their relationships and individually. I believe that the way we view life, is rooted in our family of origin, and through our personal life experiences. I am a strong advocate for self-care, and self-compassion and feel it is vital to practice what you teach. I enjoy being outside, boating, and spending time with family.
