William Brinati, LPC

Hello, my name is William Brinati and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. If you or family members are facing life challenges and need assistance, I’m here to assist you. As a therapist, I believe that the therapeutic relationship combined with proven types of clinical therapy can bring hope and healing in your life. During our work together, I strive for tangible results, improvement, and breakthroughs in your life. When struggling with emotional or behavioral difficulties, you are not alone and your life really can get better with professional help. Again, you are not alone on the journey. Mental health professionals have been trained and educated with the knowledge of brain functioning, psychology, and clinical counseling. I work with a variety of disorders such as depression, anxiety, addictions, and trauma. I also treat relational issues thru couples and marriage counseling.

During our work together, I provide a compassionate environment and my office is a judgment free zone. I also work to understand and empathize with how you feel as we work to develop insights and new perspectives of your life’s challenges and your clinical symptoms. I am passionate about walking alongside people in their journey of life through the therapeutic setting. I am committed to the therapeutic goals to reduce suffering and help my clients reach their goals.

I graduated from school with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Christian College. I also earned a second master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College. This additional area of Biblical education provides me with skill sets to assist clients with insights on theological, spiritual, or religious questions if the client desires to include them as part of their therapy. I primarily use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) which are used widely in the counseling world and have been effective for treating a wide range of mental health disorders.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you are considering taking this step toward therapy. I would love to meet you soon. Contact our office at 847-776-4500 to set an appointment today.
