Jodi has a vast array of professional experiences working with teens, adults, couples, and families. Her effective counseling style combines authenticity, compassion, humor, honesty, and attentiveness as she works alongside clients in better understanding themselves and overcoming a variety of life challenges. With 20 years of experience, Jodi has developed an engaging style that combines thorough assessment, an ability to assist clients with understanding themselves at much deeper levels, and empowering them on their journey for deeper understandings, heal from addiction, better manage anxiety, and/or develop more effective life coping skills
Areas of Jodi’s expertise’s include:
Recovery from alcohol, drug and multiple process addictions; working with partners/family in an addictive system, toxic relationships and trauma. Additionally, Jodi understands a wide range of therapy needs including treatment of depression and anxiety, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem and grief. Jodi utilizes an integrative approach that may include solution-focused intervention, client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy or motivational techniques to focus on mindfulness, promoting balance and inner strength. She provides a safe environment that creates a supportive relationship built on trust, which facilitates growth and healing. Change is a natural part of life; yet this seems to be a difficult time for many. Jodi believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling lives. She provides an environment of compassion and support to help clients overcome obstacles to move forward.
Jodi joins her clients where they are at in their process of change. She guides her clients in identifying patterns and behaviors that have kept them stuck. Jodi creates an environment of comfort and openness so growth happens.
